What do we do?
The Academy was started in the year 2000 to train previously disadvantaged individuals as secretaries. It is headed up by Erna Fevrier, a registered facilitator with SETA. The course provided at the adademy is accredited by SSETA under registration number 12842, with the qualification title: Further Education and Training Certificate: Business Administration Services. (SAQA I.D. 61595 LP35928, NQF Level: 4)
Although the structure of the course has changed since its inception, the aim is still to provide the best possible training to enable these candidates to be immediately employable at the end of the year, in any secretarial position.
Twelve candidates are selected annually, after passing a thorough computer, keyboarding and linguistic skills test.
How do we do it?
The course is structured as follows: It runs for a period of 1 year from 1 March till 28 February the next year, with a mid-phase exam and a stringent final exam.
