Norridge Park Primary School

This year, we worked with Arrow for Change, an outreach initiative established by Arrowhead Properties, to facilitate an upliftment project for Norridge Park Primary School in Eersterust in Pretoria East.

Many learners from the school are affected by societal challenges in the area, such as gangsterism, substance abuse, and single-parent and child headed households. The aim of the project was to transform the school into a safe and inspired place of learning for the children to feel empowered to one day make a difference in society.

Adams & Adams made a vital contribution towards upgrading the ablutions, servicing and repairing fire equipment, fixing classroom floorboards, repainting the jungle gym, planting trees, and other cleaning and maintenance at the school.

Most of the work was completed throughout February 2021 but on 1 March, members of our Pretoria office were able to ‘get their hands dirty’ and help out with the improvements to the school. This was also an opportunity to spend time with the learners and inspire them with motivational talks and fun activities centred around respect, environmental awareness and the power of hard work and perseverance.

We are delighted that with our support, Norridge Park Primary is now a safe haven for children to feel nurtured and grow into their full potential.
