Vuyokazi is a commercial litigation specialist and a member of the firm’s dispute resolution team. She obtained her LLB Degree at the University of Fort Hare in 2006 and has 9 years’ post-qualification experience.
Her practice areas include commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with special focus on specialised recoveries. She acts for the Commercial Recoveries departments of three of the four major banks in South Africa.
Vuyokazi also specialises in Construction Law, Insolvency and Company Law where she acts for corporate entities and liquidators/receivers/trustees as well as creditors.
Vuyokazi co-represented a Chinese client in an international arbitration involving a multimillion dollar claim and represented an Italian client in an international arbitration involving a large claim. She represents high profile individuals and Small Medium Enterprises and advises her clients in a wide range of fields.
Her practice has a national reach and she often litigates in other divisions of the South African High Court. She was instrumental in successfully arguing in favour of a construction company in an appeal to the Supreme Court of Appeal in South Africa, which judgment was reported in the South African Law Reports.
She is involved in knowledge sharing and advancement sessions called “Thutho Warona Coffee Sessions” where her team meets with their corporate clients to discuss various topical legal developments within the Banking, Construction and Insolvency fields.
