Melissa completed her articles at Adams & Adams and is currently a senior associate and qualified trade mark practitioner in the Trade Mark Prosecution department. She specialises in clearance searches, all aspects of trade mark registration, brand strategy and portfolio management. She also has experience in litigation relating to trade marks, copyright, domain names, company name objections, passing-off and unlawful competition. Melissa completed her BSc and LLB degrees through Rhodes University. She was admitted as an attorney and became a fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property law in 2018.
