Babcock University hosted the AI & Babcock Innovation Venture (BIV) Commercialisation Summit 2026 on 21–22 April 2026 convening global leaders to accelerate AI driven innovation in Africa.

The summit focused on turning academic research and AI enabled solutions into market ready products, with a key highlight being the launch of the Babcock Innovation and Venture Centre to support IP commercialisation and venture creation.

Discussions on industry – academia collaboration and structured IP strategies reinforced the growing role of Nigerian universities in driving AI led innovation and economic growth.
