Mergers
Our competition law team has extensive experience advising whether a particular transaction is a notifiable merger, opposing mergers and assisting with merger approvals.
- Notifiable merger: and, if so, preparing and bringing the necessary merger applications for approval from both the Competition Commission as well as Competition Tribunal where required.
- Opposing a merger: our competition law team is able to assist where parties wish to oppose a merger if they are concerned as to the merger’s possible effect on competition and/or its impact on public interest, such as employment, within the relevant market.
- Merger approvals: Our competition law team is also able to assist with conditions relating to merger approvals (including compliance as well as bringing applications for amendments thereof) as well as the review of mergers where approval has been refused or granted subject to conditions which are not acceptable to the merging parties.
