Qualcomm and Adams and Adams Launch Free Online IP Training for African Innovators

Qualcomm Incorporated has launched the L2Pro Africa IP e-learning Platform, a free online training program developed in collaboration with Adams and Adams, Africa’s leading intellectual property (IP) law firm. The platform, launched in December 2023, aims to empower startups, SMEs, and researchers in Africa by offering comprehensive training on intellectual property fundamentals such as patents, copyrights, trademarks, and integrating IP into business models.

Qualcomm’s Africa Innovation Platform initiative, led by Sudeepto Roy, emphasizes the importance of protecting African inventors’ ideas and fostering economic growth. The course, created in partnership with Adams and Adams, provides step-by-step guidance on filing procedures in key African countries and patent organizations. This initiative aligns with Qualcomm’s global efforts to democratize knowledge about IP systems and support innovators across diverse backgrounds.
