Adams & Adams strengthens African footprint with new franchise office in Mauritius

11 September 2024 – Adams & Adams, an internationally recognised and leading African law firm, is proud to announce the opening of a franchise office in Mauritius, marking a significant milestone in the firm’s strategy to enhance its legal service offerings across Africa.

Our franchise office in the country will build on the existing presence of Adams & Adams in the jurisdiction and serve as a key hub for the firm’s operations in the Indian Ocean region. The new office, located in Port Louis, will focus strongly on intellectual property (IP) services, with scope to broaden its commercial, corporate and property practices in the Indian Ocean region. Led by lawyers Jason Dewkurun and Anas Rawat, who have extensive experience in the local legal landscape, the dedicated team in Mauritius will work closely with Adams & Adams in South Africa and the Adams & Adams Africa Network (AAAN) to strengthen the firm’s expertise, drive innovation and add value to clients across the African continent.

The Adams & Adams Mauritius franchise follows the opening of the firm’s first franchise office in Mozambique in 2008.
