Grégor Wolter

Grégor is a senior partner of Adams & Adams and a commercial dispute resolution specialist.

Grégor holds B.Bus.Sci (Hons) [1991] and LLB [1993] degrees from the University of Cape Town. He was admitted as an attorney in South Africa in 1996 and has more than 25 years post admission experience as a practising attorney.

Grégor leads a large team whose practice areas cover a wide range of commercial litigation and dispute resolution legal facets (including resolving or litigating on contractual and commercial disputes, delictual and enrichment claims, handling shareholder and director disputes, enforcement of director duties and director liabilities, enforcing and defending restraint of trade covenants and unfair competition - in respect of which Grégor has successfully launched and executed a number of Anton Pillar applications.

In addition to handling a broad range of contractual and commercial matters (for listed South African and international clients), Grégor has particular expertise covering most facets of construction related law and routinely deals with construction matters including advising on the formulation of construction contracts, enforcement of their terms, dealing with disputes, enforcement of contractual rights or termination of construction contracts, and implementing post-termination provisions.

Grégor has represented large commercial property development, and construction, companies and a variety of mediation, arbitration and High Court proceedings.

Grégor and his team also deal with insolvency related matters including liquidation and sequestration applications, the holding of insolvency enquiries and proceedings to set aside impeachable transactions and hold directors personally liable for the debtors of insolvent entities.

Grégor is a member of the Pretoria Attorneys’ Association and the Legal Practice Council and has been involved in Adams & Adams’ talent management programs for more than 15 years.
