Phumla Thango

Phumla is an Associate in the Patent Department of Adams & Adams. She obtained her LLB from the University of the Free State in 2018 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2020. Phumla also holds a Postgraduate certificate in Compliance management from the University of Cape Town. She has gained experience in Commercial litigation, Risk and compliance and Insurance Law. Phumla joined Adams and Adams in 2024 and has a keen interest in Patent Law. She plays a key role in the Patent Overseas Filing section. Her areas of practice include supporting in the management of foreign clients' patent and design portfolios in South Africa.
