Rutendo Chapwanya

Rutendo is an admitted attorney and associate in the Trade Mark Litigation department. She obtained her BCom Law, LLB and LLM (Intellectual Property Law) from the University of Johannesburg.  She is admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and a member of the Legal Practice Council, South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law and the Black Lawyers Association.

Rutendo specialises in brand enforcement, including trade mark infringement and passing-off disputes, copyright acquisition and enforcement, domain name and corporate name objections and advertising and IP regulatory matters. She practises within a team that services a wide spectrum of clients, including in the fields of earthmoving and construction, science and innovation, aviation, automotive and fast-moving consumer goods, across the African continent.
