A compulsory availability search is now conducted by the Sierra Leone Registry upon filing an application for a trade mark.

There have been changes in the administrative processes at the Sierra Leone Registry, one of which is that, upon submission of an application for a trade mark, a compulsory availability search is now conducted by the Registry.

Owing to the Registry’s use of a manual database, the process is time consuming and causing some delays.
