Stephen Hollis

I am an Intellectual Property (IP) lawyer, specializing in trade mark, copyright and entertainment law. I have a passion for the arts and creative industries and assisting clients to grow their businesses through the effective management of their IP rights and assets.

My core practice areas include:

• the development of brand protection and enforcement strategies in Africa and internationally;
• copyright management, enforcement, licensing and related deal structuring; and
• advising on government policy, and legislative and regulatory matters affecting the copyright industries and the online creative content distribution environment.

• Fellow of the South African Institute of Intellectual Property Law (SAIIPL); registered Trade Mark
  Practitioner, and a member of SAIIPL's Copyright and International Treaties Committees.
• Member of the Africa IP Group (Adams & Adams) which is focused on the development
  and implementation of business strategies for the African market. This involves travel to other African
  countries to engage with government officials on legislative and IP practice issues and to present at IP
  conferences hosted by WIPO, ARIPO and other organisations from time to time.
