Melissa is a trade marks attorney specializing in trade mark prosecution across Africa. She holds a BSc LLB from Rhodes University and completed her articles of clerkship at Adams & Adams. In 2018, she earned her SAIIPL Trade Mark Practitioner’s qualification, gaining specialised trade mark knowledge crucial for navigating the complexities of trade mark law across the African continent.

Melissa provides strategic counsel to protect clients’ brands and possesses a deep understanding of the IP frameworks across the African continent. Previously practising in the trade marks litigation sphere and having worked as in-house IP counsel for a global pharmaceutical company, she has accumulated a wealth of experience representing diverse clientele and understands what clients want.
